ISDA Master Agreement to Common Domain Model: Leading the Industry to Greater Efficiency and Transparency
In this brief overview TABB Group looks at the progress ISDA is making toward creating a uniform language for managing derivatives across the trade lifecycle. The ISDA Common Domain Model (CDM), now in version 2.0, will increase the uniformity and transparency of how events are accounted for over the life of a derivatives trade. CDM is still a work in progress, but ISDA is making the process as smooth as possible for market participants, recognizing there are upfront costs, and is working to ensure the ultimate outcome is efficiency and cost reduction across the industry.
