Executive Summary

The unstoppable march of technology across the face of the financial markets, as well as its permeation throughout all of the inner workings, has greatly increased the speed of trading and processing, reduced the costs of every kind of trading, and ramped up volumes in almost every market. There are a couple of reasons why the subject of cybersecurity isn’t on everyone’s lips all the time: 1) it’s a very nerdy subject and 2) much of the effort is top secret.
