US Futures Market Review: Q3-2018

Calm returned to the financial markets during the third quarter. Futures volume growth slowed based on a lack of volatility, but TABB Group still projects a record volume year for US futures and options-on-futures as well as global futures markets. US futures volume is projected to top 4.4 billion contracts this year with almost all asset classes showing higher growth, the one exception being the energy complex. US options-on-futures volume is expected to top 1 billion contracts for the first time ever.
