Global Equity Trends 2011: Volumes, Fund Flows and Related Miscellany

The primary goal of this report is to track current and medium-term trends within the equity volumes, fund flows and performance.

The report is broken into two main sections. The first section takes a birds-eye view of the global equity and equity-linked notional traded, decomposing global values into six primary instrument types (cash equity, index options, index futures, stock futures, stock options and swaps/forwards). We also provide that breakdown for six economic regions: North America, BRIC, Developed Europe, Emerging Europe, Developed Asia and Emerging Asia.
